Who We Are

Men's Health Support Initiative Nigeria (MHSI-NG) is a CBO/CSO-NGO in Nigeria dedicated to empowering Key Populations and underrepresented communities, and young people through health, education, and economic opportunities.

Founded in 2016 and registered officially in October 2018, through the emergence of Global Fund directives to engage CBOs to amplify and enhance adequate, quality and sustainable health services towards the community.

MHSI-NG was founded in response to the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic and the marginalization of sexual minorities. Our organization has its roots in grassroots activism and peer-led support networks. We began as a small group of volunteers committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or social status, could access accurate health information, compassionate care, and meaningful opportunities to thrive.

Our Story

From grassroots activism to a trusted national organization.

Over the years, we've grown into a trusted organization recognized for combining HIV prevention, treatment support, and community engagement with innovative approaches to youth empowerment.

We understand that health and economic wellbeing are deeply connected, especially for young people facing stigma, unemployment, and limited access to services.

Today, MHSI-NG works across multiple states in Nigeria, implementing programs funded by global partners including the Global Fund, USAID/CDC, and ISDAO. Our team of dedicated professionals and volunteers are committed to creating lasting change in the communities we serve.
